Want to start running or are you a runner who wants to get faster? This 8-week program is designed to offer group accountability so you get moving and build lasting movement. We support you with training plans, goal setting, a Facebook group, challenges and more!

Who We Are & Our Why Behind this Program!

When an energetic boy who was forced to run around the house after school marries a lazy girl who had a lot of athletic talent, you get partners who push and support each other through life and movement. Nick has a passion for helping others with movement and wellness so they can create their own joy by making the impossible, possible. Abby empowers others by connecting to people through experience, belief, motivation and challenge.

​​​​​​​Abby and Nick have been involved in sports for the better part of their lives.  Now they want to help you by sharing the tips, tricks and knowledge they’ve learned about running, everything from mindset to injury prevention to racing.  We can help you actually make your goals a reality by providing a positive structure for you to grow as a person and runner.  Together we’ll work through what may be holding you back and hold you accountable for putting in the effort to get there.  The group aspect is invaluable because when you see others doing well and sharing, you are motivated to do the same!  Here’s to creating healthy habits!

​​Meet Nick




Nick has always been active in sports. He played baseball, basketball, and soccer growing up and now you can find him running, cross country skiing or playing soccer. He also loves being in nature hiking or being on the water.

Raced in countless road and trail running races from 5-50K
Hit the 1,000 miles run in a year milestone

Meet Abby​​​​​​​




Abby tried many sports like volleyball, tennis and track. She fell in love with swimming at age 8 after she won her first race. She enjoys time at the lake with family and being crafty and creative.

Completed 2 marathons and numerous ½ marathons

THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU IF:

You are a new or seasoned runner who wants to run a 5K or train smarter for a 10K
You want to create & stick to healthy habits
You want to set and crush your goals
You need or want accountability for movement, consistency and healthier habits
You want to make exercise a lifestyle choice by finding what motivates you on the inside

THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

You are currently injured and unable to walk or run
You are not interested in putting in the time to make movement a habit and stick with it
You are not willing to step out of your comfort zone by attempting hard things or by sharing struggles and successes

If you told me to go run a 5K six months ago, I would've said heck no! Nick and Abby's training plans are flexible and autonomous, which meant I could develop and personalize training habits that worked best for my body. If you are having these thoughts, "I need more motivation to move", "I am not a runner, so how can I stay active?", "I can't run", "I don't have time"... you must join the next RWR program! RWR is all about incorporating walking and running as a lifestyle, one step at a time. It's not about how fast you walk/run, it's about giving your body the movement it deserves!

I never had been a runner. I literally started with one minute of running. After coaching from Abby and Nick Reckinger , I can now run 3 miles! They gave me so many great tips and awesome coaching, I signed up for my first 5k. Nick does videos on stretching and strength training. Abby can help you with any “blocks “ you may have holding you back. I don’t always feel like taking a run but I always feel proud and confident when I’m done running. I highly recommend this course.

I never thought that I could be a runner - me a runner - no way! Why not? I don't like it - it's hard, I don't look like a runner, and I'm slow. Guess what - I AM A RUNNER and I love it! Running for me helps me feel strong, and confident, and helps me release so many emotions (good and not so good). Running is about so much more than the actual running itself. Most of the time it's the emotional piece that helps me the most. The rhythm, the pushing through a tough moment, the weeping when I need to just weep. Why this program? Cause we start off too fast, we think we need to run forever, we don't listen to ourselves and let's face it that just sucks so we quit or we hurt something and we quit. Abby and Nick taught me how to ease into running, how to take care of my body (before, after, and during), about breath, and most importantly how to listen to my body - and me! Joining RWR - I was super excited and then felt nervous that I did not know what I was doing. Well yeah that’s why I signed up it was because I wanted to empower myself with the knowledge that I was running in a healthy manner without injuring myself. The training plan was great for this newbie it involved strength and stretching to really maximize the feel good running. There was guidance as well if you were already a seasoned runner. Abby and Nick guide you along the way and help ready you externally and internally. I ran my first 5k while doing their program and I felt nothing short of amazing when doing so. It was a goal I set for myself that I finally was able to achieve with the RWR program. The strength I felt in my body and my mind was incredible after finishing.

The Running with Reckingers' program was a huge inspiration for me to follow through with my goal of running a race. I have always been an athlete, but running has never come easy for me. I struggled with running very much until I had the support and tips from runners like Abby and Nick in order to run correctly and reach my goal.
